According to a late Thursday night post on social media website Facebook, Bellville City are the new fashionistas in town after unveiling a brand new first-team kit and sponsor ahead of the 2021 season.
The news, posted at midnight due to club management having to juggle full time work and club duties, offers a glimpse into the squads ambitions for the months ahead.
Speaking from his bedroom after news broke of the deal, the club’s Executive Chairman, Sean Smit, told the CTTLFA Website that the club has always led fashion trends in the Association and this was no different.
“We like to think of ourselves as the fashion pioneers. Our club has always had nice kits and it’s just something we like down here in the North.”
The new kit, emblazoned with the CTTLFA logo and #PlayAndRespect badge, also features new sponsor, Block Plan, in an undisclosed deal said to be worth a few hundred Rand.
“Look, we can’t disclose the deal,” Smit said. “What we can say is that we’ll look good on the park and really that’s all that matters. We also have coffee.”
City’s new kit, sporting their official club colors and a training kit in aid of breast cancer, was designed and produced by old-school favourite, Mike’s Sports.
The training kit features thick pink peaked stripes across the front with a v-neck blue collar and sleeves. The club’s blue shorts have been designed to be worn with either kit.
City will be in action soon and we can’t wait to see how they look in their new style.
